White Lake is a ski resort located in the Vosges mountains of France whose epic scenery may have never been revealed to me unless brought to my attention via the photo taken by Jan Eyre that now rests as the album cover.

While the artwork of the double CD edition of this release may offer a slightly greater representation of the mountain's depth with the sectioned two-panel vertical orientation, I hope the attributes of the stunning landscape have been properly depicted audibly via these lengthy, atmospheric and dubby tracks. This is certainly not the first time I’ve scored music with a mountainous scenic mindset (see also Sojourn in Canaan) but when the opportunity presents itself the ability to do so becomes effortless.

In addition to the two tracks dawn and dusk are two alternate versions that strip things down to a more chill and atmospheric vibe.
