'Little Venice' was originally inhabited by a rural community of wine growers, market gardeners and boatmen where the Krutenau extends around rue Turenne. Located in Colmar, France, this tourist attraction features Italian eateries featuring seasonal entrees in a historic setting.

Despite the festive, tourist association La Petite Venise may have, the emotive and unfiltered cover photo by Jane Eyre taken on site presents itself much like a gothic painting. Inspired by the image itself, the music presents an ethereal and somewhat somber journey down a murky channel, floating on a history of territorial conquest.

Following four lengthy drone chord dub tracks is venise en aval de la rivière; a relentless and fused arrangement featuring the drone chords of the venise numbered journeys, isolated and mixed to tape, then run through various effects including a compressor triggered by a muted drum loop.

Drift on.
