As if tape archives were dug out of ammo boxes, salvaged and shipped directly from the Kremlin, these intentionally dissonant, unquantized and unsequenced, raw synth tracks have been recorded in somewhat improvised fashion using the vintage Formanta Polivoks synthesizer, a Vermona drum synthesizer and occasional voices from the LYRA-8, plus a host of Russian radio transmissions. Somewhere between melodic and chaotic this tribute to an early era of synthetic / electronic sound is open to the utmost technical scrutiny.

Though initially a second volume was not planned, I could not shake the vibe, so with my Polivoks synthesizer still out and running I created this second volume as well as a combo CD version so people can own a physical format of both releases. живое радио II is a mix of leftover strands from the initial session reworked and completed, plus new compositions featuring the same instrument setup yet with the addition of the Korg MS-20. наслаждаться!
