While this body of work contains a completely different sound from any Downscope release so far, it is no coincidence that it follows the previous dub techno work "Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg" as the underbelly of "haunted spirits of the recluse" features mutated fragments from the Château sessions. Granulated, chopped and sorted via analog and digital effects with a few echoing synth tones to lace things together into a tight package, "haunted spirits of the recluse" offers an aural escape for those who wish to seclude themselves from chaotic society to find solace somewhere between sound and space.
